- The classes are held in the Bedhampton Community Centre on a Friday where we hold two hourly sessions at either 11:00am until 12:00noon, or 12:00 noon until 1:00pm.
- The year is divided into three terms: Spring, Summer and Autumn.
- Our tutor, Richard Hennessey, is a professional dance teacher who runs a local dance academy, Dance Revival, where all types of dance, from ballroom to Latin are taught.
- The group is constantly learning new dances, as well as practising the more familiar ones, so it is suitable for both experienced line dancers, but also those new to this form of exercise. Richard is a very experienced dance teacher, who takes the group slowly through each section of a dance in the warm up section, before the accompanying music is added. Many of the dancers enjoy the mental stimulation of dancing in a set routine as well as the physical benefits of the exercise sessions.
- It is a very friendly and lively group where dancers attend on a weekly basis, the funds raised pay for the teacher's time and the hire of the hall. We are self financing and have 'balanced our books' over the years the classes have been running.
A Risk Assessment is available for this group on request from the Secretary (click on this link to send a message).
