We are a small, friendly group of u3a members who enjoy creating art; a sociable group of mixed abilities where everyone works on their own projects and at their own pace. There is no formal instruction, but an opportunity to learn from each other through discussion, sharing ideas and skills.
Aims:
- To share and develop painting, drawing and other arts skills together in a social and relaxed environment.
- Foster an enjoyment and appreciation of creating art.
- Explore and share arts ideas, skills, methods and techniques.
- Help each other to improve and try new ideas.
- Visit arts events and activities in our area.
Whether you draw with graphite, charcoal, pastels or coloured pencils or paint with watercolours, oils or acrylics or even paint by numbers or use adult colouring books, you will be welcome. Bring along all your own materials and if we can keep works to an absolute maximum size of A3, that will help with getting along with your neighbours.
If you are interested in joining or would like to know more, please call me or email me. It would be helpful if you can tell me what arts medium(s) you are interested in.
A Risk Assessment is available for this group on request from the Secretary (click on this link to send a message).
